Wreck guide
Ten wrecks worth the boat ride
Depths are approximate seafloor depths. Most of our wrecks call for Advanced certification, and Nitrox is recommended for the deeper ones.
Sanctuary expedition
USS Monitor
The Civil War ironclad lies inside the Monitor National Marine Sanctuary, 16 miles off Cape Hatteras at about 230 feet. Diving her requires a sanctuary permit; we run one permitted technical expedition each year for the anniversary dive.

Charter questions
What certification do the wreck charters need?
Most of our wrecks sit at 85–120 feet, so we ask for Advanced and recommend Nitrox. The app checks your certification when you book.
What if the weather cancels a charter?
Offshore conditions change fast. If we cancel, your booking moves to credit or a full refund — your choice, right in the app.
Do I have to use the app?
No — you can book by phone or at the counter. The app just makes reminders, waivers and service tracking easier.
Not wreck-certified yet?
Advanced Open Water includes your first Outer Banks wreck, and the Wreck Diver Specialty is taught on the Graveyard of the Atlantic.
